Come on. Be honest. That is his D4 behind the Defender.

You're entitled to an opinion, even if it's wrong. :P

If it were a real defender I'd have been surprised but then as a real defender driver he would be showing the consideration to easing the stress of the lounge chair drivers and drivers of lesser marques hes out to recover/repair/assist.

I find the warmth of a cup of coffee helps with the finger stress from all the waves that get ignored these days. Its possible this chap might in his efforts to at least emulate a real defender driver be suffering the same malady.

I'll just go put my asbestos suit on...

We spent 3 months driving around Australia in our Defender, and having our Nespresso Machine with us was great :)

Got a breadmaker and Nespresso for our Unimog.

I'll raise you the Defender - to a 101... Went out a couple of years back in it for the day with a mate who wanted to check to see if his machine would run off his genset - it did - here he is with it. :)

Nice coffee machines.

If he was a seasoned Defender driver, he wouldn't have time for coffee. He be busy under the bonnet or underneath looking for the cause of the latest mystery noise, leak etc. Or to just admire the simplicity of it all. [emoji16]

A mate of mine had to buy a new gen-set a while back, after he discovered on a camping trip that his old gen-set of many years did not have enough grunt to power the flash new coffee making machine he bought just for his camping trips. :o

But he drives a Jeep ..............................https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2017/02/629.jpg (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/facebook-smileys.html).

In case no one has broken it to you, Nescafe isn't actually coffee - it's just the dust that blows around a factory where they make cardboard... ;):D:wasntme:

An espresso machine should be the first mod, and barista training part of basic off road driving technique, for any discerning Defender owner IMO 👍😎

Mine runs off the inverter port on my engel battery box. ...but no cafe lattes for me. ...the pure simplicity of a cafe doppio anywhere, anytime ...now your talking my language 😊

Ahem i got a portable Nespresso machine for xmas. No power required just boil some water, fill container add capsule and pump by hand.
Don't know how you lot fit a whole coffee machine in the car! Must not have kids or dogs....

The Handpresso's are pretty good too. The old one had a manual pump but the new one is run on batteries. Nothing like the smell of freshly ground and brewed coffee in the morning when camping in the middle of nowhere, ie. Mt Augustus yesterday! :D

More power to Ron's elbow, I say. He is liberating us from the stereotypes that imprison us. Although, I must say, he needs to grow a beard. :p

Nothing like a Cappuccino in the morning before heading out to catch some Taylor. 4:25am and this D4 driver was appreciative of the refinements that us Defender drivers can bring to a camp site.:D:D:D

I do normally pack my Espresso pot for such trips but as we had power why not enjoy a little bit of luxury.
