Hi Guys,

Newbie here getting to grips with my D4 MY12, lots of wonderful info here to keep me reading! My drivers side 12V cigar outlet is inoperative, the passenger side works fine and I have checked the outputs with a meter directly in the female receptacle, so confident the problem is not accessory related. I don't have a wiring diagram but working from the glove box fuse board have determined that both driver and passenger outlets are fed from the same fuse, so I am thinking that there is a problem with the wiring / connection to the drivers 12V outlet...how big a PIA is this to access and how do I go about it?

Thanks in advance, cheers

There is a good video for centre console removal on YouTube by Powerfulukltd. There's been a thread linking it here before, don't remember when.

Regarding the wiring, not something I've checked but from what I've read I don't think they are simply on the same fuse. I've seen a relay conversion to make one of them permanently powered but the other one stayed accessory powered.

Wiggy,
Check fuses 53 and 55 in the glovebox area as the LH & RH outlets are on different fuses

Thanks gents for your responses.. Graeme, 53 and 55 checked out OK, but having looked at the symbols for these fuses I also checked 63 - which was the culprit, problem now solved. Thanks to all for the assistance, for the future any idea where I can download a wiring diagram? cheers Paul

PM me your email. I have a copy I downloaded from somewhere awhile ago.

If you buy the full D4 manual from Dave's shop, not only will you be getting all relevant wiring diagrams (they are all at the end of the manual) - you will also be supporting this site. :D
