My D3 has just started this behaviour the interior lights above the rear view mirror at the front and the one in the rear cargo area just above the tailgate. I changed them to LED several months ago but they have been fine until a now.

Any ideas?

I've had the same with some LEDs. Its the SMD's dying, but im not sure what causes it. I've got some spare globes of a different type that have been fine that i swap back in.

Same for me too. Mostly I've just swapped out the LED unit for another one and it's been fine.

Id be taking that back Andy... unless it has a "candle flicker" feature [emoji14]

Thanks for that. Will be annoying if they are dying already, they are only about 12 months. I guess that's what you get when you buy stuff from China from eBay.

I had some flicker within a month. They cost less than $1 each (they were bright 6 SMD chips) so i dont mind. My standard ones cost 10c a globe and ive had one die in about 6 months.

The expensive ones from hids4u have all been good so far but the eBay ones have been around 1 in 5 flickering.

Too early to say if the extra cost is worth it given they are 5 quid each but my gut feel is probably, yes worth it.

When I converted my reversing lights to LED, one of the new globes started "flickering" within a day of installing. On closer inspection - it was only one of the individual LED's in the end of the globe - the rest were working OK. Fortunately, I had purchased three of these globes from Jaycar, so I simply changed out the one that was flickering with the "spare" I had bought, and have had no problems since.

As for all the interior LED lights from Tombie - have never had any issues with any of them (apart from a lot of cursing and me eventually giving up when trying to change out the one in the glove box :censored:).
