Ok, a mate is building this and I thought I'd share some build up pics.

Base vehicle is a 2003 TD5 Auto Disco HSE, complete with ACE, SLS etc etc, all being retained.

DII chassis and running gear is being used with Maxi Axels, ARB Lockers F&R, 35" Claws.

Here are the pics.

What is the cost of having a toy like that going to set you back - if you don't mind me asking?

If you had to buy it rather than build it, 50-80k.

I was actually thinking of a colour like that, but thats as far is the comparison with mine goes.

I dont think the cost would be to high, you can pick the write offs for next to nothing at auction and then there is the time and the body etc, $20000 maybe a bit more would get it built if you picked the wreck up cheap and did all the work yourself. Looks bloody good. Matt

Hey maggot4x4,

Do you happen to know where your mate got those alloys from, as I'm looking for one for my Disco. I have 3, but need the 4th.

Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

They were bought as blanks and the PCD was machined custom to fit. Davis Performance Landy's can provide you with the details, should cost you about $300 per rim

One of the better bastardisations I've seen, but why on earth would you keep carpeted floors and cloth seats in the thing?

Thanks Mate......
It appears the ones I already have are an italian made rim, not quite the same as the ones your mate used...which are made perfomance.

Looks like I might have to buy a complete new set of rim, as I don't think I'll find another for my set.
