That's very disappointing. I've read both Bravo Two Zero and The One That Got Away several times. Thoroughly enjoyed both and had a lot of respect for both McNab and Ryan.

Perhaps they talked themselves up to create a better profile for themselves as authors. In my case it worked, I probably bought about twenty of their subsequent novels. I enjoyed them too.

A mate of mine here in Brighton , his father was in the SAS, spent most of his time in Northern Ireland. He tells me when this all came out, there was an angry response from the brit. SAS. First of all , you just don't write books about what the SAS does, for personal profit. And, in his words, you don't write bollocks.
