I think I know what answer I will get :p
Tossing up whether to spend $600 or so on a TRS tune after I change the gearing in my td5 defender, or spend a little bit more and get a nanocom plus TD5 inside tune for about $800. Have been toying with the idea of a D3 for the wife in maybe 3 years or more, and maybe getting a puma in the future. Are they easy enough to use? If I loaded the map myself, are they as reliable and trouble free as getting it mapped somewhere else?

Provides you have an NNN ecu it's easy as.

Jump onto the group buy thread and put your name down so that you can get one with a discount. They are definitely worth it!

I concur. The first time you need it you'll be grateful you did it, besides when you start modifying it is always wise to be able to monitor things if you feel something isn't quite right. The trick is to not over think it when you do that.

There is a group buy deal open right now (few weeks to go from memory).

As to whether you should buy one, dunno. I just grabbed one and we shall see how useful it is to me over the next few years!!
