Hi, I plan to repaint my 53 Series 1 by hand, and wondered if someone could tell me how much paint I need to order?
I see that AGCOShop.com.au (http://www.agcoshop.com.au) has the correct Ascot Bronze Green for Landies,
but I'd like to get enough without ordering too much.

Can any one help?

thanks
jeff

Hi Jeff.
What an oddball product for a tractor company to stock, well spotted.
For those looking here is the paint page.
Search Results (http://www.agcoshop.com.au/SearchResults.aspx?Keyword=paint&Page=0&Sort=0&SearchContext=KeywordExactSearch&InitialSearchQuery=Keyword%3Dpaint&F1=M|14815|1|Land+Rover|34&F2=&F3=&F4=&F5=&F6=&F7=&F8=&F9=&F10=&Refined=1#divResultsGrid)

Volume needed for hand painting???? I would get 4 litres,if they can do a 4 litre tin.2 wont be enough,3 probably good.
Ive done a bit of brush painting look it up,you can get a good finish. The trick is to heat your paint before use,the perfect way is to use an old electric frypan filled with water, you can keep the paint at a good temperature,I was using 65 to 75 degC with enamel paint.Use a fine expensive brush for best results.

Yep, 3 to 4 litres should do the trick. SWMBO works for Agco and had no idea they sold paint, although once I showed her the link, she said yes, Sparex paints are part of the company or something.

I'm going to get her to find me some info on price and availability. :)

He's not on the forum at the moment, I'll have to contact him and see how he got on with it.
