Hi Guys,

Has anyone had any experience with the compomotive 18 inch rims and BFG A/T 265/60r18 tyres, or any brand of tyre in that size? Specifically do they rub at all and as they are around a 5% increase in diameter from the standard tyre on a 19inch rim are there any DSC issues? I have a 2010 RRS TDV6 3.0

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Chris, just email Gordon at Green Oval Experience - he will advise what is best. Cheers

(BTW there is a set of Comp's on Gumtree in Adelaide - but way over priced)

I have 265/60/18s in cooper at3s. But in a L322, so quite different situation. But for what it's worth I don't notice any change from 255/55/19s on HTs other than the road noise from the ATs.

Looking at Gordon's tyre chart the jump to 265/60/18 is only about 1/2" in diameter.

Instead of Emailing Gordon.
Look up his Green Oval Experience website.
He has a spreadsheet there with all the tyre combos and mods needed if need be.

DSC has never been an issue AFIK. It's very common to go from standard 275/40/20 to 275/45/20 as I've done, and many seem to go up to 32" with no DSC issues ever mentioned.

Only will have DSC issues if mixing RRS standard 29" with Disco 30" or larger.
