G'day Reads,

I've looked into this for my 1994 300Tdi Def. 110 Station Wagon. I sent out a few email enquiries but only had responses back from 2 mobs so I reckon you'd be better off speaking to them first and seeing where it will get you:

1st mob pointed me to Mr Cool air conditioning http://www.mrcool.com.au/ and the second mob said it'd have to be a custom job as Defenders weren't really designed with aircon in mind.

They are a mob called snowee air who don't have a website, but they're details are as follows:

Where is it?
11 Burke Street
Woolloongabba QLD 4102

How to contact them?
(07) 33930576
snowee_air@hotmail.com

I think the asking price was around $2k => $3k.

Good luck.

If you were in Sydney, I'd suggest KLR Automotive (LR specialists).

They've retrofitted a few genuine LR aircon into Landies.

I assume one of the Landie specialists in Brissie could do the same.

do a search on the site for air cond

someone here with a fender found and organised a different sort of air cond with remote and was way better than the standard unit and pretty well priced if my memory serves me right.

That was Pullsy with his County up in Townsville.

Get a custom roof mounted job and keep the passengers leg room. A guy I saw in Esperance fitted one to his 110 and is heaps better. Most auto shops like Coventrys can supply you with all the gear usually through ingrahm electrics. If you drop me your email I can try and send you the air con catalogue from them. Has all sorts of units, the remote activated mini van/ bus unit looks like the go.
