Glad I got today as an RDO.
Saturday and Sunday will be spent driving around documenting/photographing flood damage to get funding for repairs plus to find out where to send the boys Monday for emergency repairs.

Pllleeeaaassse send some rain and cooler temps over this way. Tipped to reach 45C here today, records are being smashed everyday at the moment.:( I WAS a climate change "fence sitter" until this summer................no more, we can't keep pumping huge amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and not expect something to happen.:(

Ean,Perth got 124mm or similar.
Rain stopped by dark, heavy shower at 3am,and its been raining fairly heavily since 5.30am.
Its going to be interesting to see what happens when the flood waters from out east get here, everything is full already.
Anyhow,off to work.

Many years ago we bought a Kelpie when we lived in Blackall.
Blackall was in drought so the dog never saw rain.
We then moved to Karumba at the start of the dry season.
The next year, when it finally rained the Kelpie went nuts.
She didn't have a clue what was going on, running about trying to attack rain drops, she was a good dog, bit silly though.
Not as bad as the Rotty guard dog we had, every time there was thunder he thought it was gunfire. Would bloody near try & rip the fence out trying to find who was shooting!
Mad dog, scary but made me feel 10 foot tall.

Just spent 2 days driving around the southern half of the shire,we have lots of work to do,unsure what the boss found,he has done the northern half.
Another good dose next week will cause issuses for anybody in the south west.
