Hi
Has anyone used a plastic aux fuel tank and mounted it inside, even for one off trips?
If so was it successful and how did you set it up, venting etc.
Thanks

Vin, I have thought about a tank in the footwell. I have used this area for a 40L flexible water tank and it works well.
Spillage and fumes are the only things stopping me from buying a footwell tank.
I put my mind to how you could link the breather back to the main tank filler. A double filler like on the LongRanger would work. I was think you could use a flexible inlet tube like is used in a Turtlepac.
I am surprised Dolium havent come out with something useful. An electric pump powered by the 12v cig which is close and an EFP 086 100L/hr pump would allow you to run fuel back to the main tank.
On another note re Jerry cans. I rang Landrover about the funnel they refer to in the supplement to the owner's handbook. It isn't available in Australia.

Pretty sure my neighbor runs an internal fuel tank.

Im thinking of welding a step and 20litre jerry can to a spare tow hitch.. this would give me an extra 20ltr external to the car.. Im just not sure on the legal aspect of having the fuel can at bumper level at the back of the car.. a bit like a bike rack...
Any thoughts?
