Not great at using this site or checking old posts sorry.
However just wanted to ascertain what members regarded as the best A/T tyre for the standard 255/55/19 rims.
I have in the past always fitted and liked BFG All Terrain tyres. Sadly there appears to be no 19 inchers in the BFG line up at present.
Not wanting to change to 18" rims at present. But seeking and A/T with best side protection possible and also a tyre that also drives and tracks well on the bitumen.
Thanks in advance.

Haven't personally used them but from memory Hankooks are well regarded.

Hancooks, GoodYear Duratracs, Cooper Zeon, Maxxis, all mixed reviews. I have used the Coopers and now the Maxxis and had no problems with either tyre. If you going off road a lot I would go the Maxxis or the Duratracs.
Cheers
Scott.

I am fitting 5 Maxxis on Monday as I am heading to WA soon. I do have a second set of wheels which currently have worn Cooper Zeons which have been a good tyre but still "P" rated.
i am contracting in Broome for the next few months and want to explore the area.
I expect the 5000km journey with the Maxxis will be a lot noisier than the Toyo Open Country I have on at the moment as they are a very quiet and excellent tyre.
