Brake Hose copper washers

G'day All,

Finally found a replacement for the Brake and Clutch hose copper washers. Original P/N 233220.

The 233220 washers supplied by Craddocks UK have the dimensions of ID 10.37 x 14.84 x 1.20mm.
They are difficult to centre on the 3/8" UNF thread to crush properly.
(Also bought some 3/8" copper washers from America and they are also have an ID of over 10mm and are unsuitable.)

Wide Bay Brake Hose Service online shop has a range of copper crush washers for brake hydraulics.

The BQ3858 copper washer has the dimensions of ID 9.74 x 15.70 x 1.52mm. They are an excellent fit on the brake and clutch hoses.

I don't think I've seen 'crush' washers just plain copper washers.

I've mostly annealed the originals and re-used them, never had an issue.
You can also buy boxes of assorted copper washers. Typically they are 'hard' so you need to anneal them but as long as you can get an imperial size they work fine.
