My loved Disco 2a is getting old and I want to replace it with a 2008 RRS TDV8. Only issue is I don't want to pay for it, anyone feeling generous who wants to give me one? [bigrolf]

Haha there's no such thing as a free RRS. Buying them is the cheap part! :D

Why did you go from a D4 to a RRS? Are they more or less the same apart from the engine? I'm scared of the V6 due to timing chain issues and having to remove the body to fix it. I might do 60k kms a year. Lots of them off road.

Jazzman you been watching that new RRS ad on TV where they tear down the rocky ski slope? .... in reality they don't do that so don't get too excited. you'll start breaking more expensive parts. Your D2 is cheap running in comparison. But if you must, your open wallet is always welcome [bigsmile]LOL

It was purely my wife wanting something slightly more compact than our previous D4. She's just bought an Evoque and I'd happily go back to a D4 - HSE spec of course. I'm glad to be able to tick owning a TDV8 off the bucket list - live the dream, right? - but I'd probably go for the 3.0 V6 from any practical stand point.
The RRS definitely has a different character to the Disco.

Good point. If I still had my D2 ideally I wouldn't get rid of it for a RRS, I'd have and enjoy both.
