Nearly 90mm yesterday & o/night, dam 4/5ths, one olive tree uprooted & a lot of eucalypt debris (as usual).
Here is my email of events to my siblings.
Thanks for asking, Ian
"Well, after yesterdays power loss & the genny having aflat start battery, not starting with the pull rope & leaking fueleverywhere, this a.m. I lifted it onto the back of the ‘tilly with TrevorTractor & proceeded to have a bo peep at it before returning it to theperson, whose name was “Mudd” yesterday arvo, who serviced it, as we lost powerat 1100 & didn’t get power back until around 1930.
Turn fuel to “On”, engage choke, wait for fuelleak……………………..waiting, waiting, waiting, looking, looking, looking, sniffing, sniffing, sniffing………………………….not a skerrick of refugee fuel!!!!!!!!
Hmmm, I’ll see if it will start. Try key start, “Brmmmbrmmmm”……………….1st turn……………………battery not flat at all…………..purrslike a kitten……………….a thousand pardons offered up to Mr Mudd.
I think the carby float may have been a wee bit gummed up& the movement with Trevor freed it.
Got no idea re: the battery????
Good ol’ Murphy! ‘Tis good to know he is watching over me.
Ended up with 80mm yesterday & 8.13mm o/night."

The creek now has a few puddles in it but I think we need a bit more rain to get it flowing again. We were without power too for most of the day.
