Series 2 - vehicle history

Can someone please help with vehicle ID. I have car number 1431##### so I understand it is 1961. What else can I find out?

It is a 1961 88 Series 2, 2.25 petrol, CKD, presumably built in Australia.

Information from the chassis numbers listed in my workshop manual.

Hi all

For my Series 2, the engine number is 151018193. Does anyone know if this is the original for the vehicle?

(The gear box is a suffix E so definitely a replacement).

1960 series 2 engine

Thanks for the info on the date of manufacture of the engine. I assume 1961 bodies could have been made with 1960 engines so there is a chance it is an original match.
