Hi all,
I have recently purchased a No.5 trailer from Grays, and have a question about the Lunette ring rating. I remember on the self assessment paperwork in Qld for registration they want the rating of trailer coupling, but I have been unable so far to find the rating for these Lunette rings. For the paperwork or if it had to be stamped does any one know what the rating is?
Thanks for any help

I reckon get rid of it and put a normal ball hitch on, or even a treg block hitch....
And to remove that temptation of using it get rid of the lunette ring, get it far away, Somewhere like...... the Riverland, yeah, send it to me and I'll make sure it doesn't go back on your trailer!
(Hey it was worth a try. ). I think the best bet would be to check what is available on REMLR re these... they may have the info.. good luck!

Thanks for the reply Digger. I have the rotating pintle hitch set up and ready to go, so reckon I will keep it![biggrin]
I cant seem to be able to register on the remlr site, the verification email never comes through. I have searched what I can through there and cant locate the numbers. Hopefully someone from QLD can chime in with what rating was used on their paperwork?

For the benefit of others who may be seeking this info in the future, it would seem the No.5 1/2 ton trailer Lunette is rated at 2250Kg. Brand would be O.F.M (Ordnance Factory Maribyrnong).

I don't recall the question about the rating on the hitch when I build my last trailer.

I see a ring made by Wallace Forge that looks to be right/adaptable. ADR tested etc. https://www.transparts.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Wallace-Forge-brochure-aus.pdf
