In this months 4x4 Australia Magazine there is an article about the loss of the Military contract by land rover to supply vehicles to the british army. Instead the Italian based International Vehicle Corporation or IVECO for short has won the contract to supply 401 Fiats with the option to supply another 400 Panther Multirole Light Vehicles or MLV's scheduled to go into service in 2007.

ISTR that Ford have stated somewhere they are not interested in military sales, they are only interested in the premium market.
