Isuzu alternator - not necessarily larger than standard. Anyone got current suggestions for suppliers?

You after a spare John, or has yours got issues?
I've still got the original 35A (??) external regulator Denso one that came off my engine if that's of any use to you (I'll never use it). PM me if interested.

Plenty of internal regulator style ones around but they need a minor wiring tweak to run them if yours is original external regulator. Don't be tempted by the cheap ones from US Ebay.
I got a 120A unit off an aussie Ebay seller based in SA that also has bricks and mortar store. Been in for about 5 years now and I'm very happy with it - but complete overkill and extra wiring work if you don't need that capacity. It was for an RA model Rodeo.
Should be able to pick up a decent ~70A one out of a Patrol etc from any decent wrecker. I'd go for a decent used brandname one like a Hitachi/Denso etc one any day over a new cheap aftermarket.
Add some new bearings/brushes and you should be good for a far while.

Mine has gone bad away from home - but now OK, well, organised, anyway. Roverworks in Canberra is getting one and fitting it on Friday. I could do it myself, but not easy with no working space or all my tools here.

Thanks for the offer. I'll refurbish the one off it and keep it as a spare.

Oops! Wrong alternator. Roverworks very nice about it, but looks unlikely i will get my car back until at least Monday.

Finally got my car back this morning. Turned out to be the regulator, not the alternator.
