I would like a water tank one day. Currently I always carry 12 litres in the back just in case. Handy when you see spot fires or see someone broken down. It can also be good for yourself at times.

I can't picture where that tank would go. If it's where I think, then the fuel filler would get in the way. :?

just had to know the price, rang OL this morning,
$479.00 Tank
$75-$95 Fitting
glad i went to the trouble of making my own, a 72L ally tank with pressure pump for under $300, although i am lucky to have access to a full fabrication/welding workshop, just need to working on my trade skills
thinking about making a fuel tank to fit up under the guard or the sill.

in the rear foot well, i have two boys 2 and 5 so it will be years before there feet even touch the top of the tank.
over xmas i did have adults sitting in the back and they were not overly impressed with there knees up around there ears, would have taken the tank out howver that mean't removing the rear seat.

Weeds - that's a good place for a tank. Does it slosh around when you go around corners or did you include some sort of baffling?
I can't weld aluminium, so what about making it out of normal mild steel, and then galvanising it?

yep put three baffles in, on the hi-way no problems, off road i sometimes hear water flowing from one end to the other, but between talking on the uhf, megs and the kids you don't hear the water

That poly tank in the wheel arch would get peppered with stones off road, dont think it would last all that long, be a good way of stopping the gunshot of stones richocheting off the inner guard tho.
