As far as I aware, to get a 3.0l remapped, the ECU needs to come out and bench mapped(ie) they'll need your ECU to remap it, I wouldn't be comfortable sending it over to the UK and back would you?

I see you're in Sydney, Davis Performace Landy do remaps for the D4, both the 2.7l and 3.0l, would probably work out cheaper too, we just had our 2.7l done by DPL, goes really well, even the fuel economy's down a tad.

Is "Alive" a brand/tuning house of some sort? I've not heard of it/them...

Thank you very much .

Alive tuning is a tuning house I think base in us ?

Google alive running u will see fair few results .

I think the emphasis was on a customised tune done on a dyno, specific to the customer's car, versus a general map loaded via a diagnostic writer. This is how we'd do all the race cars when we replaced the ECU for an aftermarket, using knock headphones and wideband air/fuel ratio monitoring tools.

Alive Tuning used to be TD5 Alive, and yes is UK based, apparently got his start with Bell Auto Services (partners I think) Tombie might confirm that.

Bruce does his own remapping now, but started with Bell Auto Services.

Most maps are to suit your needs, towing, moderate, fast but keep or the better economy, OMG it's fast, and so on, basically tell your needs and he'll create a map to suit.

Cheers bud .

I want to get rid off some lags on take off but the most importantly is when I am towing .
I have a 3.2t van and Man U can feel tg weight comparing to my last 2.3t van . Massive difference . Also what do u think about transmitting cooler upgrade option as DPL has a kit which they develop with PWR for D4 ? I am sure I am gonna go ahead with remapping and I will update here soon .

Also I don't want to see more smoke after remap . I hate smoke from cars ....

Cheers

I haven't noticed any extra smoke, it did help with the lag on mine(2.7l) did completely get rid of it, but it's a hell of a lot better than it was, very drivable now, I haven't thought about the cooler upgrade, our camper is only 1.5t, so I don't think it needs it.

You should speak to Bruce, he's pretty easy to talk to.

Ok just a update . I did the alive tuning through Bruce. Car is much more pleasure to drive. The initial take off lag has improved a lot . Third gear acceleration feels very strong. Tow my caravan over the weekend it feels effortlessly compare to my last outing how ever I do see smoke underload though . Switch to s mode and kept the revs higher the smoke situation is better . Only had the car back for a week so will see how it goes

Interested to know if you had a choice of mapping done by Bruce for your vehicle.

Emm so you could purchase a TDV6 and then get it mapped to a SDV6 map or what ever map you choose?
