I saw this Defender 110 crew cab at KLR Automotive just before Christmas. I've only just got around to developing the digital pix https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
Note the quality of the workmanship - it was done by a bloke out Windsor way.

This bloke does great work - I've seen other examples of his stuff.

using existing roof and slide windows.
did you get any of the back panel???

Yes i'm getting ideas.............
ok i'd like to know how the back panel was done, just behind the back seat and the back window panel.
the inside of the Tub and tailgate........
As my roof has a nice dint, this way i can use my existing roof....
only ideas.... i know what it costs to do it as i used to work in a panel shop.... i just want to toy with idea's......

True!
It looks like KLR are still closed for the Xmas-New Year break so it might be a few days. I just called Matt from KLR ( I have his mobile no. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ ) and the car is there so I can get some pix early next week.

It will look like this one. This one has been converted from a drop tailgate to a side opening tailgate which might be an option for you seeing as you have provision for hinges:
