Chris, first of all, a HUGE thank-you for your efforts on making a great little product [biggrin]
And, an even bigger thank-you for getting the job done and sent to me so fast. Not sure how you managed to do this, but WOW, I've just taking it out of the letterbox, so to speak. Totally awesome to have it for the up coming trip.
I won't have time to work on it myself with the spray putty etc, but I think it'll look just great the way it is anyway. It'll certainly be just fine for the trip.
Well done mate, and thanks.

I was impressed enough to already order a second one as a spare.
I'm quite happy with the raw look too and think it's actually a good match to the surrounding trim.
But if it suffers any uv degradation in the longer term I'll protective coat the second one before fitting.
Thanks again Chris.
Cheers,
Scott

I painted mine and my Bro's last weekend.Fitted mine in minutes, looks a million.
Well done Chris.
I suggested Steve from Albany contact you about making a Land Rover style badge with the word KLONK in Land-Rover style font.
A well used 80''called Klonk (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/series-i-land-rover-enthusiasts-section/135101-well-used-80called-klonk-23.html)

I fitted mine as soon as I received it. No spray putty or paint required - looks like an OEM component. [wink11]
LandyAndy on the other hand, has painted his a bright pink ...................... apparently it matches some of his leatherware. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2017/04/898.jpg (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/skype-emoticons.html) https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2017/04/899.jpg (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/facebook-smileys.html) :no2::no2::no2:

This is mine, left raw. The angle here makes the print lines more obvious than in real life.

Dammit, you sound like some of my clients.... [wink11][wink11]
The cardboard template is sitting on my office floor and I curse about measuring it up every time I trip over it. I'm getting there, just that paying work keeps getting in the road.... [bigsad]

No problems Chris. I'm not in any rush - have got plenty of other stuff on the go at the moment and would not have got round to starting on compressor guards even if I had detailed drawings and all the materials sitting in the shed. [wink11]
I bought a new bandsaw recently, and the very nice LED work light on a flexible mount was mounted on the rear of the upper cabinet - so that the light was always behind where you are cutting. With the safety guard properly lowered into position, this means that the "cut" was virtually always in shadow. :censored:
And this is not some cheap crappy bandsaw either. :o
So I have now modified it. Removed complete light assembly and extended the wiring, drilled new hole in the upper cabinet low on the right side, re-mounted light assembly in new position and found correct size / thread bolt to block off the original mounting hole. All working good now - and I can see what I am cutting. [biggrin]
Have also built sawdust collection bin with cyclone separator that connects up with my shed vacuum cleaner and drops all the sawdust out into the bin, rather than it constantly blocking filters and requiring the vacuum cleaner to be emptied & cleaned. Works great and I've run vacuum lines to various machines etc in my shed. Wired the vacuum cleaner itself up to a remote control power outlet so can now turn it on and off from anywhere in the shed when I need to. Next job is to finish off building a sled I've started for cutting round logs down into timber blocks etc that I can work with. All good fun. [smilebigeye]
