Here’s some good movies of how well D3s can perform off road.

Saw those videos a few months before I ordered mine. Fantastic!!

They were just one of the many things that I saw regarding the D3 that convinced me that I want (or should that be NEED???) one.

So I bought one, and yes, they do work that well.

Some one posted those around the time of release, they are very good. It was those videos that removed any doubts i had of land rover straying away from good off road ability and towards city driving. Boy was i wrong. Matt

The D3 is definitely the business offroad.

Hey RMP,

Those pics are in the latest Overlander Mag (Jan06), in the 7 seater rundown.

Was that your car used in the testing.???

No, that D3 is one of Landrover's press fleet. It's a TDV6 HSE. I don't own a D3.

My personal vehicle is a Defender:

I reackon that my Freelander could do all that stuff that is in the videos - does show limited travel on the front of the D3 but also how TC can help overcome this limitation.

My Freelander wouldn't climb the hill in RMPs photos though - First gear would be too high and the ground clearance is not there.

Could go doenhill OK though.
