Have been given 2 VDO electrical gauges for xmas (temp & oil )
but before I install the oil pressure gauge, just to be on the safe side
would welcome any info from those that have fitted one.

Thanks for the quick replies

Fitting gauges into my 94 hybrid disco, unable to fit to dash but
have attached them to the bottom of my r h ashtray, the
instructions say to connect the wiring to the oil pressure switch
( black & white wires).

for each gauge you will need +ve / - ve / reading from the sender and maybe a fitting for a globe.

which black and white wires are you looking at???

if you want to keep your "idiot" light then I would get a VDO adapter that will allow you to have both the VDO sender and the original idiol light senders:

That adapter (if I can find somewhere to fit it on the td5) seems to be
the answer as when I was down at the local garage looking for crush
washers for an oil change ( none as usual now fitting a Fumoto oil
drain valve) and they told me to fit the wiring from the VDO gauge to
the oil pressure switch ?.
The temp gauge is fitted to a sender in the top rad hose and works via
a switch on the dash, my original temp and fuel gauges and tacho are
not working as I need a good auto electrician to fix the problem.
The tacho needs to be connected to AC winding terminal (W) and the
temp gauge needs a 12 resistor in series to correct the over scaling,
the fuel gauge 464 ohms resistance and connects the same way as
the old gauge.
