Until today when there was a TV advert being played I never knew such a thing existed.
Cordless battery air pumps.
Being compact they appear to be an ideal car accessory for inflating a track side puncture.
Has anyone had anything to do with them?

I wonder if it would fully inflate a tyre from zero PSI
For my you mays well buy a 12v conventional compressor and use the car battery...which will last way longer than cordless battery.

Without seeing it i would imagine it would chew batteries,
i have a SCA one that is basically a jump starter with a pump and the pump part is pretty useless for tyres, good for air beds though!

I have a cheap one - bought it to pump up the kids basketballs, bike tyres, etc which it does. It can also pump up the wheelbarrow tyre but that's about it. It wouldn't stand a chance on a car tyre.

I think that most of us have bought one of these things at some stage.
A 12v jump starter with an air compressor and a worklight all in one unit is pretty hard to refuse But most of them struggle to start anything bigger than a 4 cylinder motor and the air compressor (Plastic) usually gives up the ghost pretty quickly as well, I think I have a couple of these chucked in the back shed somewhere.
A GOOD air compressor is an essential piece of kit if you are doing any off road work and those new little 12v charging units that come with jumper leads and usb ports are surprisingly powerful considering how small they are.
I would go with buying a GOOD air compressor over one of these all in one units any day.

Don't know about cordless, but I saw an ad for this on TV last night.
Air Dragon | Global Shop Direct - As Seen On TV (https://www.globalshop.com.au/products/air-dragon?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Reef%20-%20Search%20-%20Brand%20Products&utm_content=air%20dragon%20-%20brand%20search&gclid=CjwKEAjw_bHHBRD4qbKukMiVgU0SJADr08ZZwGK6E0Ku Q_sz47Y5sc9P2pRuN4Xy3jrDnZ72yiV9ERoCf87w_wcB)
I don't get it - you plug it into your car's 12 volt cigarette lighter socket, but they say (in the FAQ below the ad) that it takes 15 minutes to "charge".
Looks like a pile of rubbish to me, and judging by who is selling it - I feel quite confident with that evaluation. [wink11]

I agree with your evaluation, looks like a POS!!

$90 for that! It would probably be ok to pump up a basketball but not much more. Wouldn't pay $10 for something that could do that.
