Possible 8 speed pan replacement source?

Hi all, has anyone seen this pan and tried it on their 8hp70?

I suspect that it hangs too low for the cross-member if the 8-speed sits as close as the 6-speed.

Also,aluminium doesn't take much of a knock to crack.

Steel would be fine,but alloy....
