2010 D4 3.0 TDV6 EGR delete?

Hi guys
I can't find a good answer for this anywhere. There seems to be so much misinformation, plus the search history here is gone.

I understand the previous D3 block of the pipes doesn't work on these as it throws a code. I presume the only way is an ECU update.

Does anyone know if this version car can be upgraded without taking the ECU out I.e. Can I get a map uploaded through my IIDTool? It's quite unclear on BAS motorsports site, though I think it eludes to it being an ECU out job.

While I'd been ok with it up until now, now I've seen the crud on the engine pre and post the EGR, I'm keen to turn it off if possible.

BAS are in the process of making it possible to remap/egr delete (via software) the 3.0 on your bench at home with the IID Tool - it's not finished yet, but they have the plugs and tails made up that are required
