Well it would seem that SWMBO & I have racked up 35 years of married Bliss?? today!
To celebrate we went to work, had a couple of extra kids for a sleep over but will have a nice diner.

Kind of difficult to go out in Doomadgee.

It has been a good 35 years, not all peaches & cream, not all happy, not all bliss but a good 35 years just the same.
I think we are what are called "Life Partners" now, despite troubles & worries we work through things together, no choice really, but it works.

To those starting or young in your marriage/relationships remember to be honest & open with your other half, do that & most of the rest is going to get sorted most of the time.

PS We have been together since I was 18 & she was 15, had to wait a while to get married though.

I clicked on this post thinking it was something to do with cricket I was just watching a video of a Sri Lankan Under 19 player bowling one over switching arms. :D

Congratulations! I think you hit the nail on the head with your comments a good relationship isn't just about the good times its about being together through good and bad.

Congrats. We've been together a bit longer, but your description is great. When your partner is your best friend it's likely to last.

Sincere congratulations mate. I am really impressed and very envious.
My beautiful lady and I often used to talk about being together in our old age (we got together a bit later 37 and 30).
But it wasn't to be, she was taken at 47, way too young.
Enjoy every minute
Cheers

Well done and good advice. My wife and I are 50 years in September. Met and old chap in his late 80's a while back who still refers to his wife as his bride. Priceless. Jim
