HI All,
I’ve had a couple of scary moments with the brakes on my 92 Rangie.
On two instances I’ve had to stop suddenly and she’s just kept going …or more correctly not pulling up like I’m used to and that’s coming from a 2Dr classic.
I was standing hard on the brakes ….. no pulsing … just a hard feel with no stopping .... and I’ve checked the brake pads (on all 4 wheels) ….they all look new with no leakage from any calipers.
I’ve done some research and I believe ABS brakes were introduced to RRC from 1990 onwards.
They also mention bleeders on the master cylinder and talk of hearing your ABS pump etc … but I have no noise ….no dash lights (understand that doesn’t mean anything) but no extra warning lights on the dash are a positive for me [bigsmile1]
I’ve checked under the bonnet (picture) enclosed and the brake master cylinder looks standard to me.
I’d just like to bleed the brakes … whats the standard procedure and do I need any special tools.
Cheers
