I wonder what the long term impact will be.....

why would naming the island by it's correct name have any long term impact?

I should have added for the good or bad....

Suppose it could stay the same......

Areas could become restricted or closed off due to cultural significance....similar to other popular places around AUS

New areas could be opened up....given national parks don't really want to manage people in parks anymore and seem to be intent on closing areas down. The traditional owners have hinted this on north stradbroke island.

Management of Camping areas.....although not sure if there are many or any like the caravan type park that are managed by the traditional owner....I have stayed at adder rock and it's managed well.

Don't think the traditional owners will kill the goose that lays the golden egg. However, those that do not respect these rules, may not be asked back.
