Hi guys,
i have DiscoverAus for the Magellan in version 1.00b
There is a new version out that has Topographical imbedded.
Has anyone used it? or do you have a copy?

I was told at the 4wd show that you can only get it on a 512mb card as its not avail on CD or DVD.
i questioned them and they have an image they load on a card for you.

My guess is they have one licensed version they are distributing.
So if they can do it, why cant i???

If anyone needs a copy of the old version 1.00b or the Hema Desert maps give me a hoy as i have them.

Hi,
I recently bought Discover Aus Topo in a package with the explorist 500. After many emails to Next destination, I ended up returning it (and copping a $50.00 re stocking fee off the retailer). I then bought the Explorist 210 with Discover Aus, as it at least will upload off my laptop and was $290 cheaper.
The trouble with Topo is that the distributor says it will NEVER be available on a CD- only SD Card which will not download to a hard drive, so using a laptop with Topo is not on. Very disapointing. The other thing that crapped me off is that the Discover Aus 2005 version is the same as the 2003 version I already had, IE missing a major Melbourne Freeway that was built 2 years ago and so on. Compared to my Garmin C320 the Magellan is ancient as far as roads etc are concerned, and too many are simply not there.
Next destination said that there MAY be a download PERHAPS around mid year that SHOULD do what Discover Aus can do. Great advise when you have shelled out over a grand.
Hope this is of some use- I only just joined, therefore the delay.
