I was out and about this morning and while I was at the finest auto store to be had, Super Cheap :whistling: I was on a mission to buy a fuel filter for my 3.9 v8, that was until I saw the price :Thump:Was on special too so for a discounted price of $ 74 it could have been mine. Got home and on line I brought one for $11 and postage of $11. So at $22 I believe I saved just a bit. As it is not a must have now item I can wait a bit for it. Does pay to know roughly what a item should cost before shopping.

I think at $74 for an fuel filter, most people would hesitate and check out other sources. Honestly, some retailers do themselves no favours when the general public can easily check out prices on the internet.

coopers Air ,coopers oil, mahle fuel, sump plug washer, 2 x britpart pollen filters - price $68 plus $22 express satchel from Roverlord for P38A - that was about six or seven months ago.
Longest delivery time for express satchel from Mario in Melbourne to me in Sth East Qld has been two working days. I know where I'll be buying my bits from for a long, long time. [thumbsupbig]

And retailers complain about how much is brought on line. If it was a Land rover specific only part then I could see the price being on the dear side. These filters would fit a range of vehicles. Same Ryco brand on E bay was $30.

Haven't bought a new LR part from anywhere else for some time now.

The local Landy dealer charged $105 for a fuel filter for my Defender last year.
I just checked and Roverlord has an entire filter kit for $116 +$22 postage. Sounds good to me.

Yeah, but I live in Queensland, you know, sunshine , beautiful beaches, sunshine , awesome 4 wheel driving, sunshine , Bundy rum, oh, and did I mention sunshine [bigrolf][bigrolf]
I think I'd rather wait 2 days in the sunshine, than 10 minutes down there - especially in winter![bigsmile]:wasntme:
