All,

My current 255/55/19 tyres on my D4 are just about at the limits after 75,000km and I am looking around at what is available. Obviously after the great run with the Hankooks I am leaning in that direction.

However, I was wondering how the General Grabber AT tyres perform? My local Land Rover service team have these GG AT tyres available and the price is competitive.

I have searched the threads but am obviously not as adept in the revised AULRO system as I was in the old one and have found some comments but nothing that talks to the expected tyre life or performance of the GG AT tyres....so I am asking for your assistance please....

Dynopro ATs are a great tyre, we have them on our 18s on the D4, our first AT was the GG AT2, not a big fan of the GGs, some on here love them, but we had a bad run with them, from all accounts the Pirelli ATR are a good tyre, never used them though so can't comment.

Don't forget the Goodyear Duratracs. I put them on my car 30,000km ago for a trip and couldn't be bothered taking them off. They are pretty good onroad for an offorad tyre. Better in the wet on road than the Scorpion ATRs. Only issue is they are getting slightly noisy at freeway speeds as they are wearing. Plenty of tread left....

I went the Goodyear duratracs and have not been impressed. Previous cars I've used bfg km2s and loved them. Duratracs are wearing quickly, and although happy with on road performance they are a bit slippery off road and will be looking at what MTs are available this time round.

Your comparing an a/t to an m/t! Of course they won't be as good offroad
