Can anyone tell me what size the securing grub screw on the GME Heavy Duty Spring Base (AS004/B) is please?

Mine disappeared into gravel and could not be found but I can't work out what size thread the original is. Neither M6 nor 1/4" seem to work.

Any ideas?

Ring up GME. They're very approachable and will probably help you.

I did this and they were surprisingly helpful. I'm so used to poor service these days it's was refreshing to speak to someone helpful.

The guy I spoke to on the phone said he didn't know what size the thread was and that the grub screw wasn't an item they sell either but he'd get one sent out to me for free!

How good is that?

That's nice to hear as I just installed one of the new GME XRS-370C units (& the AE4018K3 antenna). Was going Icom and had a "buy Australian" moment [thumbsupbig]

Nice radio which bluetooths to the iPhone ... really makes it easy to setup.

6yr warranty ... time will tell.
