is Vlad bringing the luxo Barge out to play?

drivesafe

Don’t worry outlaw with all the recces being done, your bound to get there sooner or later.

Hi seqfisho, I should give you fake directions after you dripped me in it in front of the wife, with all those suggested D3 alterations.

Vlad, you and seqfisho can meet us either at Canungra in the park opposite the pub or up at O'Rielly's. This will save you going all the way down to the Gold Coast.

If anybody else from Brisbane is coming, have a chat to Vlad and seqfisho to work out a meeting location that suits you all.

Any other coast folks can meet harry and I as above.

Cheers.

PS Vlad, don’t worry about damage, the main track, which you can stay on all the way, is that easy that last time we went over it we passed an old BMW sedan and they were not having any problems.

The track is a NO NO in the wet for cars but OK for 4x4s.

 vlad, mate, that track is soooo easy,we came down that track in the dark in the dunnydoor, and with precise picking of the driveline only scratched the underbelly about twice ,so the luxo barge should have no problems https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

OK folks just fine tuning the run schedule for tomorrow.

If you want to have a BBQ we need to start out from Mudgeeraba at 1-00 pm to get a 9-00 pm’ish finish.

If you all just want a run down Duck Creek Road and back again, then we can have a start time as late as 3-00 pm and this will still allow us to do some of the side tracks on the way down ( in daylight ).

Either way, side track ventures, lead by harry, are optional for those wishing to do more that the straight easy run, they are optional and can either be run or you can sit back, with me, and watch others do their thing.

Expressions of interest relating to start time please.

Canungra meet time is 1 hour after Mudgeeraba start time and O’Rielly’s meet time is 2 hours after Mudgeeraba start time.

Cheers.

oui vlad!

when you setting off?

drivesafe
14th January 2006, 01:38 PM
Ok Folks, there seems to be a few coming now and the BBQ is on.

We will be on channel 33 UHF.

[size=18]PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE TO THE STARTING TIME

We will meet at the Shell at Mudgeeraba at 12-00 mid day.

For those coming from Brisbane and want to come to Mudgeeraba, head south down the M1 and when you pass the end of the 110 KPH section of the M1, you keep travelling south for another 8 kms.

As you travel south, you will see an exit sign for Mudgeeraba and directly below it on the same sign is a POLICE sign. I will post the EXIT NUMBER as soon as I go and see what it is.

When you see this sign you will also see a large Shell service station in the distance on the left side, just off the M1.

Take the exit just before you get to the Shell and pull into the Shell and you will see us there .

We will then make our way to O’Rielly’s and should be there just before 2-00 pm.

If you want to meet us at O’Rielly’s, we will not be leaving there before 3-30.

There is a restaurant at O’Rielly’s and things to see so you can have lunch there or bring something with you.

After leaving O’Rielly’s, we travel back along the road for 2.5 kms and turn on to Duck Creek Road and we will be making a leisurely trip of it to the first stop, at a the lookout.

From the lookout it will be low range to the bottom of the mountain.

We will stop at a few spots along the way to PLAY or watch those at play.

It’s then about a 20 minute drive ( on tar ) from the bottom of the mountain to the picnic area.

There are free gas fired BBQs at the picnic area.

We will cook dinner and have a good gas bag there while we wait for it to get dark and then we we head back up Duck Creek Road and then to canungra and from there we can make our different ways home.

I would think that everybody would be home by no later that 10-00 pm.

Cheers and looking forward to seeing you all there tomorrow.

8) its nice to see all the interest,
but i unfortunatly have to drop out due to

wait for it

land rover failure.

well it's probably not a land rover breakage,
its probably a butcher brake fixer that clamped my brake hose before i got it.
the left front brake hose has failed and i am not going any where until its fixed. will just make it to work on monday, then try ricks and others.
have exausted the sat arvo fixit avenues - this the gold coast, nothing happens on sat arvo - we're closed.

Hi Steinzy, another good trip and so far the score is trips 3, damage 0.

That’s the way I like it and as for Outlaw’s suggestion of a run up there on a Thursday night meeting via UHF CB, I think we could do a round trip in under 4 hours if anybody is interested.

Just a thought, cheers.
