Hi People any comments regards pesky SRS air bag fault light proving difficult to target and rectify. Two attempts have the light still coming on after warm up, never on early in the day (cooler temp?).

Without a fault code it's a bit hard to diagnose. Would suggest you head to Jordon Rovertech and get them to have a look. I have a GAP tool but it's VIN locked to my car. Perhaps someone else in Perth has the Pro version to help out.

Fault reading and clearing is not VIN locked.

I had the intermittent SRS light coming up, usually followed by a hand brake fault.
The problem was the driver seatbelt pre-tensioner. Had Rovertech scan the fault (I didn't have my IIDTool yet) and they reseated the plug under the seat in the hope this might solve it. They later went to change it out but were sent the wrong parts, twice.
On the plus side, the second round of plugging and unplugging of the module seems to have solved the problem. Nothing has been changed out in my car, but we haven't seen the fault in months. Other possible fix was checking for a dodgy ground - I tightened up a ground point in the drivers footwell when installing a 2-way there, which may or may not has helped.
Agree with others though, get it scanned first - of all the various systems in these cars, the SRS is not one I would want compromised for too long!

Thanks to you too Scott. I can't recall any referring to VIN when young Josh did the OBD11 plug under dash near steering column.
Unless the VIN comes up on the tablet during the analysis. Had more faults than passes, reset, checked again next few days, only a few faults. Now off to Auto Code. Mark thought he had resolved it, me too, but sure enough come about midday the next day outside temp around 18 degrees and there she goes again.
Back into Auto Code on Mon.
