Been sitting down the back for over four years. Decanted a caravan bottle of gas into her, and whacked in a battery.....

Bosch electronic distributor, probably a Bosch starter motor by the sound of it, LPG doesn't collect moisture, sounds about right. [bigsmile1]

Yep. Oil light went out right away. The flappy noise is the very loose alternator belt. Now I have to figure out what to do with it...

Of course, I'd started it before the vid..... Wouldn't have given her a rev otherwise.

This is one of the nice things about those ye olden-dayes engines: the things they'll put up with. What's under the air cleaner?

No. I've never really driven it. I got it too do a conversion on the Series 3 tray, but things got in the way. But the petrol system has been removed, tank and all.

Blimey its a small world!

Davo and Johntins, why do you two think you've got time to pi-fart around on this thread, when you Johntins should be reporting back on your window winder, and Davo should be busy organising like vehicle from Katherine to the west [bighmmm].[smilebigeye]

How many of these 'junkers' do we have in our back yards?

Nice when it fires up like that.

The window winder got sidetracked by an impromptu road trip. OK, ok, today....

As for "junkers", well this 123563

If that's a photo of the trip, then you're excused - what was the story? (forget the window winder). I've got a S3 Stage 1 Isu ute like that as a project for the future.

Nope, just the only pic I could find of it. It's a petrol one. It has a 120 litre gas tank on the tray. The plan was to put the Series stuff on the RRC chassis. Which would need a new shed. Which would mean pulling down the old one. Which is currently only being held from falling over by the Series three inside it! The whole shed is bloody asbestos, removal of which is an issue, at least in Victoria.

Oh, I am working on it - I'm only on here to relax from working on these things! [wink11]

Trouble is, relaxing here can be addictive....
