I would like to fit an led light over the rear step that comes on when the door is opened to help people use the step
Has anyone done something like that

Mate just remove the cowling above rear door (pulls straight off) then remove rear interior light. Pass some thin fencing wire through the whole in roof where light sits to rear where hoodlining meets the cowling (ie between headlining and steel of the roof). Attach twin flex (small diameter too) wire to fencing wir3 using insulation tape and pull wire through to where interior light is. You have the power source with door open or switch set to on. Remove passenger vent to gain access to inside trim near rea side tail light cluster (ie the one high up) and you have access to pass twin flex under trim and through grommet to the area where tail light wiring runs down under vehicle (fence wire trick again working from outside v3hicle). Then attach led strip below bumper above step. I would replace all interior globes with warm coloured low amp draw led also. Cheers
