Preface this with 'I'm not that much of a newb'. But this has me beaten.
Windows 10 keeps switiching my keyboard layout.
Like every few restarts, or sleep cycles, it switches the keyboard language to UK engish where the quotation marks show as the 'at' symbol (and vice versa).
Hash symbol shows as the pound symbol.
I DRIVE A LANDY BUT I'M NOT THAT BRITISH!!! It's driving me barmy!
I've tried deleting the UK english language from the language and input settings, and I can fix it by changing the language settings, but I want to lock in one language once and for all.

Was the windows install a clean install or an upgrade?
Seen a few boxes with this issue and they're all upgrades. Not seen it on a clean install..
Don't have a fix other than a clean install, sorry

Hi Toxic,
Looking for solution i came across this
In Windows 10, by default, pressing CTRL+SHIFT will cycle through any keyboard layouts that you might have mapped and it's surprisingly easy to do this by mistake.
Very handy to know.
Keyboard language keeps changing in Windows 10 - Super User (https://superuser.com/questions/976947/keyboard-language-keeps-changing-in-windows-10)
That may help

I think the default keyboard language change option is windows key+Space.
Yes, inc, I have an upgrade. I'm due for a clean install, so should give it a shot! Cheers

No Bloat?
Download Windows 10 Creators Update Bloatware Free Edition - MajorGeeks (http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/windows_10_bloatware_free_edition.html)

I had similar - didn't notice it changing but was set to the wrong thing.
There are two settings - one is for language (for spell checker etc - choose whatever you like)
and one is for keyboard which should be English - US

Taking into account I cannot reasonably say what I'd really wanted to say about your silly mac... yes, let's call it that.
Do you have a right mouse button yet? [tonguewink]

you don't need one but you can use a normal mouse if you are somewhat clueless [bigwhistle]

Old habits die hard. Started on DOS many years back, typing C:/LEMMINGS.EXE into the computer early of a weekend, hoping the bios beep wouldn't wake the parents up.
Not about to change anytime soon. Unless they have cookies on the dark side? I heard there are also initiation rites- sometimes even as severe as camping out in the New York winter snow for 36 hours before a product launch! Inhumane!

I have had a 'right mouse' button for the 18 years I have been using my Macs. Not my fault people don't look....
Do YOU have a PC that is 18 years old and still works just fine? No virus, no malware? I have a G4 Cube that works just as it did when it was new.

Cut my teeth on MS-DOS. Much better off on my UNIX based Mac, thanks. Plus, if I must run some paltry Windoze program, ....Hey presto, I Can!![bigsmile][bigsmile]

Using Parallels, I can count a few. I have a couple of older builds of MacOs, two windows versions, and Linux Unbutu. What I run, however, is OSX Sierra.
Nice pic, inc. Is that OS9?

OS/2. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while.
I was running VirtualBox as well, but scored a free copy of Parallels in a promotion. I will have to dust off VB, as it has probably had a shirtload of updates since I last looked.
