Hey all,
Just picked up our new disco sport td4 150 to partner the old disco 2 td5 war horse.
Very impressed!
I am debating (read fighting with SWMBO) about taking it up through the Murray Sunset towing our camper in a couple of weeks as it seems it may be a capable soft roader!
Do I stick with the old girl who I know loves the off road stuff or do I try the new kid on the block?

Clearance and tyres would be the only things I'd think about re limitations on the DS.

Clearance under the middle with the exhaust cleaning gear hanging lower than anything else is the biggest issue. Its not the sort of thing you want to damage on a brand new car.

Take the disco sport! Very impressed with ours off road the other week. Towed a 2wd Ford ranger up a muddy hill no worries!
You can get yokohama GO15 a/t in the right size too.

Agreed. Take the Disco Sport.

The Disco Sport is very capable. Tows our caravan with no problems. It's much more than just a soft roader.

And it's a great car to drive!
