Having removed the 3 second row seat headrests from the day I bought the car, I've just found out by reading the manual the proper way to do it, so next time hopefully won't break 2 of the 6 guides.
Yesterday I decided to have a look at fixing (replacing or gluing) the two broken ones.

Anyone know if they are relatively easily removed from the top of the seats? These are the bits that stick up and look a bit like a garden hose connector with a recess like those for O rings, but also with a slot and that the cupped piece then sits over. I doubt that gluing them back on with rapid set or similar would be a long term solution, but?

Cheers

I think i know what part you mean Gavin, but to be certain could you put up a pic. If its the bit on top then it should be simple, but if its the sleeve goes inside the seat then you may have to open the seat back. Had a similar problem with Lady P and ended up removing the seat back to get the sleeve out.

I would have a look on Charlie but seats are down and car is semi packed for a late week escape to Alice via Laverton.

cheers

Hi Steve.
Unfortunately it is the bit that sticks up through from inside the top of the seat.

Enjoy the trip and I'm not in a mad hurry to fix, and may get some additional info from here while you are away. Call me when you get back and we'll arrange a meet up.

cheers Gavin
