Some of us need somewhere to put all the extra cars we collect. I was going to volunteer for the caretaker's job. You could all trust me....
Besides, look at those pits! Even Gav could get under his 101!

Imagine a clubhouse full of Alpha males [ in their own minds], it would be like dancing with elephants. Except elephants would not be as clumsy.

You know why Victoria is cold? We keep it that way to keep the bloody rugby obsessed Queenslanders away.[biggrin]

Surely we are not getting elitist here. An Aulrorian qualifies with one Land Rover, and works on his vehicle in the driveway, purely for the love of the vehicle.

The potential is there with a few handy facilities.
Why not keep one end for finished vehicles and use it as a museum to help pay for outgoings?
I'm sure we could put a ATCO hut in for the spouses to use for Art n Craft or a café while partners tinker in the shed.
Of course being on the east of Melbourne those over there may have to step up and run it[bigwhistle]

Err, "elitist"? I have probably done more on my cars in my driveway or in the street than most here. Not sure what it is you're driving at, so why not just come out and say it?
Most of us would love somewhere dry, with concrete and pits, where we could work. If you prefer masochism, good for you.

I sure would ... and I could do with a spot to store a 130, a No 5 trailer and various spares too ... keep getting told the yard looks like a tip.
I was thinking we could operate an undercover caravan/boat storage business to help pay for the electricity/rates etc.

In that case, 1.54 Acres isn't going to be 'enough'.
With the closure of Hazelwood, could be up for sale soon? ;)
plenty of heating in there for cold Victorian warm too.
plenty of scrappable metal for bits required to seal up rusted floors and pillars and so on.
Excellent supply of electrical power to recharge dying batteries .. etc. etc.
we may need a few more than 100 members at 10K ea if if does come up for sale tho.

And of course there would be no thought of charging those Aulroians who could not afford to offer up the readies to buy , it would be free to all, in the spirit of Aulro. Wouldn't it.

Lots of Landrovers driving deer hunters use the Austrian Club in Heidelberg West as a club house. Cost us almost nothing and they take bar and provide so good meals if you want. Big car park as well. Happy to chat to them if you all want a regular meeting spot.
