Okay.....Quicker & easier to do the correct fix.

Problem is when you buy one secondhand and some bastard has done this to it. I know, you can check that all the lights are on when you hit the ignition, but it is easily overlooked.

I had a customer with a D1 and his SLS light was illuminated, it failed the RWC inspection, he thought he was smart and disabled the light by the tape method , the RWC tester was smarter, he was aware of this trick. The light must illuminate and extinguish when the ignition is on and go off when the vehicle is started. The attached video method would fail a RWC and if some one purchased the vehicle would be unaware of a potentially failed system.
