I do not need any "trigger" for "D Day 6th June",...being an "Old Pom", it will be forever imprinted upon my mind, but I do understand, that in this part of the world, it may not mean so much, and that there may be other "ïmportant dates"?.....I'm absolutely certain that there are some here who would be only too happy to "ënlighten" an old Pom.

My Dear old mum when she was alive recounted to me many times about being a 16 y/o in England and seeing the soldiers all getting ready for the D-Day invasions. Must have stuck with her as 1 of my sisters was born on the 6 june many years later and mum named her Dee. Its certainly an important day in history.
