Now I realise I'm behind the times on occasions, but it was brought to my attention that there is a movement afoot to celebrate International Land Rover Day on the 6th August.

It seems to be an impromptu attempt to get as many Land Rovers as possible out on the streets that day.

Anybody else here aware of this?

Hi Numpty,

I think that it's a Pommy thing that they organise every year... I get an invite to it each year via one of the land rover groups on Facebook...

Somehow I never seem to make it..! [wink11]

Cheers,
GG.

That date might get lost in translation over here as Aug 6 is also the anniversary of dropping the A-bomb on Hiroshima!

Oh dear!

I did find something on google (of course I can't find it now) relating to the fact that this was the anniversary of the last day of production for the Defender, so it is a chance to get them and their predecessors out on the street.
