View Full Version : Tyre shops.

strangy

Today the 130 ventured out for some final additions.
Spent the best part of the morning at an auto elec getting the AC gassed.
I know the owner and the young guy doing the gas liked Landys.
I'm always apprehensive leaving any vehicle with a workshop.
Went into town and had a coffee and wasn't too concerned.
Came back a bit before it was completed.
He treated it and me well while I waited.

Next down to the tyre shop for new shoes.
I was about to head off for a walk when I noticed the young fellow pressing the key fob a few times and after not being able to understand if it was locked or not, began wrenching on the door handle.
After getting the door open then drives off to the fitting bay.
Difficulty now determining how to raise the truck until a more senior fellow points to trolly jacks.
...so now I'm staying watching..
I've spent way to much time and money for someone to treat it badly.

Interestingly the shop has destroyed the old tyres as they are greater than five years old.
They also refuse to repair tyres older than five.

Even more interesting but not surprising is the ever dodgy Coopers that came on the rims when purchased, split along the bead while being removed.
Lots of swearing from the workshop while the remnant was removed.
