Probably opening up a can of worms here, but I'm curious to see why people have bought a Range Rover Vogue instead of a Disco 3/4, considering older models are similarly priced. Anyone know of a matrix that shows the difference in features between the 2?

it would be a very very long matrix mate.t
hey are about 90% different cars, if not more
Major diffs are.
Chassis, D4 is half mono half solid - RR is full mono (about 300kg lighter)
Engines - not the same (some v8 petrols are the same i think)
suspension - RR is by far superior articulation and comfort wise but does flop around on the road a bit and goes through bushes relatively quick
cabin size and feel - ones big, ones massive and you notice not to mention luxury levels
coolness -you get to say youre driving a range rover.

I did just over 1,000 km yesterday (alone) from Qld to Sydney via some pretty rough bitumen back roads - and the Putty Rd.

Google Maps (http://tinyurl.com/y8s2dpb8)

The L322 is a superb touring vehicle. I got out of the car last night and my back was not at all sore - unlike a trip to the shops in my wife's 2009 Forester. I get out of the Suby and hobble.

I did, however, have sore hands from gripping the steering wheel.

I've done 45,000 km in mine and not touched the suspension bushes.

I don't notice any body roll on mine, but some others have said this especially with 18" tyres.

I fully agree with Ron, an amazingly comfortable vehicle on a big drive.

No auto-steer - must be a lower spec vehicle as even my tractor has auto-steer for the straight bits.

I owned a disco 4 MY10 SE with a fair few extras for 3 years from new.
I now own a MY10 L332 luxury that I've had for about 2 years.
They have a similar feel but the Vogue is a more comfortable car.
More torque.
They both have the same slightly sluggish lazy 6 speed auto.

Everything is lower spec compared to your AB tractor. [emoji1]

I forgot to mention I had a TD5 90 in between. [emoji51]

While my mind is young(ish), my hands are not and can't grip that well without discomfort - 'Tis the same when riding my motorbike, I regularly/frequently have to take my hands off the bars to flex my fingers (I have a throttle lock).

I've been into land rover since my 2 door rangie then my first 5 speed 4 door onto a fuel injection system rangie. Went onto disco and defender, but the Range Rover brought me back. The comfort and the ability to do long drive without any hassles.
It just simply top of range for when doing 4wdriving and besides it's the proven to lead the industry in technology etc.

The L322 is the ultimate all rounder IMHO. But I am openly biased. The 3.6tdv8s stock torque is astounding. But still a car you can work on, sometimes requiring an IID BT Tool.
