Off to Sydney tomorrow for a wedding in Baulkham Hills on Saturday. Looks like it is going to be a wet trip and a wet wedding! Back on Sunday.

Anyone seeing me in a blue 110 with an AULRO tyre cover, give us a wave!

Drive safe mate. I will look out for your barge. Look out for mine, a Galway Green DCPU. (BTW My home is just round the corner from Baulkham hills so if you get the urge .... PM me a phone number and I'll call you back)

Safe travels John. I'm not likely to be anywhere between your place and Baulkham Hills, But if you stray off the track you'll get a wave for sure.

If I see you I'll give you a map, and maybe a compass.

Got here last night. Staying at MGSM hotel at Macquarie Uni. But had problems as it was dark, heavy traffic, and raining, and my GPS didn't know the exact address. And there is nowhere you can even stop and look at a map! Eventually a niece came and found me an guided me in after spending half an hour driving round in circles looking for the place.

It would have been hard enough to find in daylight!

A great nephew, arriving about 10pm, in a rental car (off the flight from Perth), also had to phone for help.

Trip down was uneventful. Stopped for lunch at Maccas in Bathurst, and found when I came out to leave, a Perentie parked next to me. Only issue is I have just found that I accidentally left the driver's side vent wide open, and there must have been wind during the night - the driver's floor is awash. (There's a bit of a leak somewhere, but not that bad!)

That little neck of the world always confused me too John. It's a hard place to become familia with.

Got back home just after dark. Wedding went well, rain held off at the church, and the reception was under cover, so it didn't matter it bucketed down. Groom and his party in full highland costume, with a piper for accompaniment into the church. (my sister married a Scot, and her grandson clearly appreciated his heritage!)

Uneventful trip back - Left in rain, but got home and all there is to see here are some widely spaced pock marks in the dust. On the trip back, intermittent rain for the first two thirds of the trip, but none past Mudgee.

As I mentioned earlier, Landrovers tend to attract each other in parking lots!
