Well, after many months I now have the engine running..... SWEET!!
But...
the after market glow warmer timer is wired in according to destructions, however there is no power to activate the fuel cut-off switch on start-up. I have power to the switch with ignition turned on, but none when the starter motor is switched on.
I have a starter motor relay installed with the wire from the key barrel powering the relay. If I connect the fuel cut-off feed wire (connected to the ignition wire) to the start wire, it continues to drive the starter motor incessantly.
So, how can I get power to the fuel switch on the start?

cheers,
P

Ok, Throwing myself to the wolves as I have not touched a 2a in years.

1. Check the rear of the ignition switch for a positive post which is separated from the start circuit. Alternatively get yourself a push to start switch wire it in separate via relay and then no issues, fuel cut off on ignition , start relay push to go. Also harder to steal if its hidden.

Thanks mate,
i think I'll run a relay of the starter that will feed the cut-off switch on start-up and should immediately turn off once key is returned to ignition position.
I did think of a discrete push button, but a relay is easy and I have a spare.
Thanks for the input
